Quality of Urdu language in the Bollywood Movies

Urdu is not only the language of Muslims but it is also speaking Hindus at high level. Urdu has very strong roots in Persia and cannot die out because of their importance. Maximum number of people speaks Urdu in Pakistan and India. Technically, the Urdu and Hindi is the same language. So, in Indian films the language that is mostly spoken is Urdu.

Because the usage of swear words and wrong pronunciations the Urdu language in the Indian films is falling in its quality. The linguists are trying to improve the quality of Urdu language in the bollywood films because they are frequently worrying about the falling trend of the language. For this purpose the linguists should follows the following rules.

1) First hire the competent Urdu linguists because script can’t be improved without expert scriptwriters. Directors and producers hire the people for films who do not know Urdu language as much.

2) The people have strong relationship with the Sanskrit language because today; Urdu will be replete with Sanskrit words instead of Persian.

3) The filmmakers put necessary dialects of the Urdu language and not fake dialects only for the publicity of the Movies.

4) Some actors not know the correct usage of Urdu language. So, the filmmaker should be trained for grammar, pronunciation, usage and style before casted the actors in the films. 

5) It is also the quality that the scriptwriters hire the good Urdu lyricists in the songs for the promotion of the films.

Dr Wazir Agha_The Famous Poet of Urdu

Urdu is one of the most widely spoken language of the world .Without poets language is incomplete and our famous poet Dr Wazir Ahmed passed away last year September 7,2010 ;laid to rest in native village near Sargodha. Wazir Agha was the famous Pakistani writer and lived in Sargodha.

Dr. Agha wrote more than 60 books including different topics like criticism, literary trend, humor, poetry and other genres. At the time of death he was 88 and always will remember in his role in Urdu inshaiya. He is also well known in Ghazal and Nazm.


In Delhi when memorial group of Action organized the famous poets gave esteem to Dr. Wazir Agha. His famous ghazals are Aadhi sadi ke Baad, Ek katha Anokhi etc.

                                   Kehne ko chand gham thay ye arsa-e-hayat
                                      lekin tamam umr hi chalna para mujhe

In Government College Dr Agha was the editor of college magazine‘Chanab’. He was wrote essays on those topics who was uncommon in the Urdu literature, such as psychology and economics. So, his name and his contribution in the literary history of Urdu cannot be erased.

Great poetic influences in Urdu Poetry

Urdu poetry is the universal language and it is the way to attract almost every single human being. Everyone is bewitched by the charms of Urdu poetry and Poetry plays an important role in the evolution of any nation especially in the case with Urdu language. Urdu poetry gives pleasure to our souls to its current state and stature.

 All the great poets devoted their lives and credible efforts to develop the poetry, now we see the level it at, today.

 Every poet has its own style in poetry, but depending upon the significance of work Dr. Muhammad Allama Iqbal’s poetry is peak among all the exalted ones. Being highly educated to the western society in his credit, Iqbal poetry adds new dimensions. 

Almost all the poetry of Iqbal is outstanding but few milestones are; Baang-e-Dara, Shikva, Jawab-e-Shikva, Zarb-e-Kalim etc. Iqbal wrote Persian as well as Urdu and he has also wonders versed in Persian like; Payam-e-Mashrik, Rumuz-e-Bekhudi, Asrar-e- Khudi  etc.

Mirza Asad Ullah Ghalib poetry has also added many dimensions in the Urdu Poetry.  Ghalib also wrote Persian poetry; his poetry showed real satisfaction and place that has no match to find. It can be concluded that Urdu Poetry played a vital role in the evolution of Urdu language and literature.

Urdu Language and its Development

Urdu is the most commonly spoken language in Pakistan; More than 4 million people speak Urdu all over the worlds. For the development of Urdu language there are many factors some of these are given below.


Through Urdu Speaking

Initially, the Urdu language was developed through the British Army soldiers and also the Urdu means ‘Army’. Those soldiers used to speak the combination of Turkish, Persian and Arabic languages to communicate with each other.

Through Urdu Poetry

The royals’ families of the India were very interested in the Urdu poetry .Amir Khusro was the first who try Urdu poetry in the 13th century and get a huge success. Afterwards, poets gave a major enhance to the Urdu poetry, the royals also appreciated it in every way.

Through Urdu Prose

In the Urdu language the short stories and novel not become a trend because the royals were not interested. When the decline of Mughals in the British, the Pakistani famous poet Deputy Nazir Ahmed write an Urdu novel named as Mirat ul Uroos and get a huge success. Deputy Nazir Ahmed was the first and popular poet of the Pakistan now-a-days the novel is most popular and in demand.

How to easily Learn Urdu Language

The Urdu word basically takes from a Turkish word ‘Ordu’ means “an army” or a “camp”. Urdu is most commonly referred as “Rekhta” which is the combination of three languages like Persian, Arabic and Turkish. Urdu is very close relative to the Hindi language; today more than 600 million people speak Urdu in South Asia. It is mostly spoken in Pakistan and its maximum features related to the European languages 


If you want to learn Urdu easily, you will be spending many hours for studying the language. Yet, you can learn Urdu by teaching tools and using engaging study methods.

Urdu language is always being written in the Arabic script and it is written from right to left. You can build your vocabulary in Urdu by learning the common words and phrases. Another method to learn Urdu language is to watch the videos and you will be able to hear the words being spoken.

 Read and Listen the daily news online i.e. in media different channels allow you to read the news in Urdu. If you want to learn Urdu language more easily you should chat via text and exchange E-mails in Urdu. You can make a friendship with your partner through E-mails and correct your grammar and try to build the vocabulary when you talk together.

The Life of Faiz Ahmed Faiz

Faiz Ahmed faiz does not need an introduction in the field of poetry. Urdu speakers know him very well. He is memorizing for his courage, doctrine and Urdu poetry. Faiz Ahmed Faiz is boundless in the record of history now due to his contributions to the Urdu language and the society in general.

All the poets combined his poetry the themes of love, political ideals and beauty into the vision of a better world, Panjabi was the first language of faiz but he gained maximum recognition with his poems written in Urdu. Due to his conflict to the government, Faiz spent several years in jail. Next to Dr. Muhammad Allama Iqbal, Faiz is one of the best-known poets of Pakistan.

Faiz was born in Noble family in 1911 and his formal education was not started until he was 10 years old. Regarding to the tradition of the Noble families, faiz was the first sent to a religious education. From his childhood Faiz was an enthusiastic Urdu reader. In fact, he loved the Urdu poetry. Faiz Ahmed Faiz was only in the 10th standard when he wrote some excellent Urdu poetry.

Faiz Ahmed Faiz was married with French Women .She spent maximum life in Pakistan, after Faiz death and wife was elegant in speak Urdu. Faiz Ahmed Faiz was a great man; People like him are born in centuries. He will be always remembered for standing up against tyrant leader and for his contributions to the Urdu language.
